Opera for Television by American composer Robert Ashley – text/video/music/libretto/light/narrative. I think his work demonstrates the power of “gaps” in generating/sustaining audience interest and expanding narrative dimension, as we discussed briefly in class yesterday…characters and their stories & situations are outlined but never made explicit.
